Commissions

General Info:

I am currently taking a limited number of commissions. I am currently booked out until June. I can start new commissions in June and have them done in July or into August.

Please fill out the form below and I will send you a brief questionnaire asking you what you are looking for in your unique piece.

We will discuss subject, reference photos, colors, medium, size, the space the artwork is meant for, and your budget. It is okay if you are currently unsure about some of these specifics. We will work together to make a solid plan.

There will be a 50% deposit upfront for all commissions, family and friends included. The final 50% will be billed upon completion of the piece. Please know that I retain the copyright to all commissioned works, including all reproduction rights.

The Commission Process:

  • Portfolio Review: Take a peek at my painting portfolio to see if my style clicks with your vision. I specialize in landscapes and foliage, so if that's your jam, we're off to a great start. Heads up, though – no portraits of pets or people here.

  • Share Your Interest: Fill out the Commission Interest form below. Jennifer will reach out to you with more detailed questions.

  • Initial Contact: I receive your interest form and send you my introduction email detailing my commission process and reviewing my current commissioned art prices. 

  • Questionnaire: Keep an eye out for the "Jennifer Peart Painting Commission Client Questionnaire" email. This is your chance to share your preferences for your custom painting. Color palettes, size, subject – you name it!

  • Contract and Consultation:  Once you've fired back that completed questionnaire, it's time to get down to business. We'll draft up a contract to seal the deal and schedule a phone consultation to ensure we're both on the same colorful canvas.

  • Initial Payment: With contract in hand, it's time to make it official. A 50% upfront payment seals the deal and gets your custom masterpiece off the ground.

  • Creation Phase:  Cue the sketching! Once I receive the initial payment, I'll get my creative juices flowing. Within 1-2 months, your masterpiece will be ready to strut its stuff, considering drying time and framing options.

  • Progress Updates: Get ready for the VIP treatment – Very Important Painting! Throughout the process, I'll send you sneak peeks of your artwork in progress. And yes, you'll have three chances to tweak and twiddle with the design: at the start, halfway through, and before it's all wrapped up. You can give approval or request minor edits for three times: the initial design, half-way through, and the final piece. Further edits or changes beyond the third update are subject to an extra fee.

  • Final Payment and Delivery: Drumroll, please! Once you've given your seal of approval, it's time to dot the i's, cross the t's, and settle that final balance. Then, sit tight as I spruce up your masterpiece for pickup or shipping. And voila! You get to revel in the joy of receiving your custom art! Yay!
