WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP
Workshop Description
Celebrate the vibrant colors of California's native wildflowers in this watercolor workshop, where participants will learn techniques for depicting these natural wonders on paper. Lupin, poppies, and mariposa lilies - oh my!
Join us for a beautiful evening of painting and creativity!
Complimentary wine will be available for participants age 21+ courtesy of Willamette Valley Vineyards.
Paint, sip, learn, make new friends... An evening not to be missed!
Class is 2hrs with step-by-step instruction.
Children age 15+ may register and join the class.
Everyone in attendance must purchase a ticket, no observers.
Workshop tickets will only be refunded 5 days prior to a booked event date. No exceptions.

Workshop Description
Step into a verdant sanctuary with artist Jennifer Peart in the captivating workshop, "Houseplant Hues Watercolor Workshop." Held within the cozy confines of our beautiful plant shop, this 2.5-hour session invites you to explore the intricate beauty of indoor greenery through the art of watercolor.
Under Jennifer's expert guidance, participants will immerse themselves in the art of painting houseplants such as the variegated snake plant, prayer plant, and monstera. From the delicate patterns of prayer plant leaves to the iconic split leaves of the monstera, each plant offers a unique opportunity for creative expression.
All materials are provided, including a personalized watercolor kit complete with an upcycled mint tin paint palette and premium-quality paints. As you paint, let the tranquility of indoor greenery inspire you, and watch as your botanical creations come to life on paper.
In this workshop we will learn:
Step-by-step drawing and painting of three houseplants
Basic observational drawing practices
Basic watercolor mixing techniques
Watercolor layering and wet-on-wet techniques
Numerous tips for sketching, drawing, and noticing when watercolor painting
This workshop is designed for watercolor/nature journaling beginners, but all abilities are welcome! We believe a refresher on techniques and tools can be helpful for all ability levels. Everyone will have the opportunity to broaden their abilities. Advanced ticket purchase is required.
