“Luminaquatic Yuba" depicts the south fork of the Yuba River near Nevada City, California.
The Yuba River water is a special kind of water. Visitors to this wild and scenic river know the waters are a magical turquoise color most summer days. I painted the original painting using water ethically gathered (I asked her for permission) from a solo birthday hike along Mama Yuba.
The original painting was made using ink, gouache, acrylic, and magical river water.
